We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Market Research Analyst to focus primarily on the development, building alignment and presentation of market models for assigned therapy/franchise segments. This position is a part of the Global Market Intelligence Team that provides information and insight supporting investment decisions, including product development, clinical programs, and marketing programs. In this role, the Analyst will also track competitors and market dynamics in the assigned market segments.

Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:
· Develops and maintains market and disease state models for assigned segments. Works with global business partners to ensure that models reflect the anticipated market shifts and to achieve buy-in, while maintaining objectivity and ensuring that models are fact based.
· Collects, interprets, and disseminates Competitive Intelligence in a timely manner
· Synthesizes information from multiple sources to generate insights.
· Develops and maintains information on competitor pipelines and strategies.
· Actively communicates model updates, competitive updates, and insights to global business partners on a timely basis.
· Supports development of Strategic and Operating Plans.
· Responsible for implementing primary market research for assigned segments.
· Ensures that relevant issues and trends are identified on a timely basis in a cost-effective manner.
· Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. This may include, but is not limited to:
o Support of Corporate Development activities.
o Support of white space analyses.
o Tracking dynamics in the healthcare landscape.
· Complies with Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
· Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand St. Jude Medical’s marketplace success:
* 4 year degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Economics or related scientific degree.
* 8-10 years progressively responsible data analytics work experience.
* Ability to work with decreasing levels of supervision and guidance will determine grade level.
* Proven analytical skills (market modeling, forecasting, financial analysis, data analysis or related experience) commensurate with grade level.
* Ability to predict, prevent/identify and address obstacles.
* Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment and in a highly matrixed, geographically diverse business environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills (presentations/discussions/meetings)
* Organized, on-time, and detailed project management skills.
* Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
* Ability to travel approximately 15%.
Your preferred qualifications and education:
* MBA degree.
* Previous medical device or pharmacutical industry experience. industry experience.
