We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Technician Sr., Manufacturing. Working under limited supervision, provides technical support for manufacture of medical devices. Assist in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, setup and program automated/manual process equipment, control production tools, analyze non-conforming product, train production personnel, and perform preventative maintenance activities. Supports initiatives to improve work product and processes. Performs typical assignments and solves problems that may have a variety of solutions. Adapts work method to different situations. We value people with great ideas who partner with others both internally and externally to take action and accomplishgoals. *Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:* * Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts. * Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations. * Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives in order to enhance production processes to achieve quality and profitability metrics. * Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions. * Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages. * Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance. * Positively represent the company during tours by demonstrating techniques and sharing appropriate information. * Maintains cross training in multiple areas/processes. * Performs troubleshooting of process and product non-conformances. * Performs troubleshooting, servicing and refurbishment of medical device hardware and systems. * Perform routine/preventative maintenance on applicable equipment and documentation in InforEAM CMMS. * Determines work priorities across multiple product areas and acts independently to support manufacturing goals. * Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision. * Identify, analyze, and implement manufacturing improvements (e.g., processes, yields, and productivity). * Provides technical leadership and training to manufacturing team members. * Support engineering and process validation activities for continuing production and for new product introductions. * Must be able to clearly communicate ideas, problems and solutions to both manufacturing management and engineering. * Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements. * Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. * Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. *Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand St. Jude Medical’s marketplace success:* * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * 2 year technical degree/certificate in electronics of equivalent experience required. * 6 years’ experience with electronic assembly and test, preferably in medical device industry. * Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting equipment, building and or testing of electronic assemblies. * Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. * Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish tasks. * Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. * Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. * Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. * Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. * To maintain regular and predictable attendance. *Your preferred qualifications and education:* * Experience in GMP, ISO, and FDA controlled environments preferred. * Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred. * Ability to work scheduled overtime as required is preferred. **Job:** **ES-Manufacturing* **Title:** *Technician Sr., Manufacturing* **Location:** *Minnesota-Plymouth* **Requisition ID:** *1600006M*
