We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Compensation Analyst. This position will participate in the design, implementation, and administration of St. Jude Medical, Inc. compensation programs.

Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:
* Coordinate and manage the salary survey submission.
* Apply job evaluation techniques to establish equitable compensation rates within the organization
* Manage the day to day administration of the compensation program for the function.
* Additionally, the position will work closely with other members of the HR team to resolve various compensation issues.
* Develop and maintain metrics related to compensation program administration including pay for performance, off-cycle increases, and position management Reviews requests for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment.
* Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures.
* Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.
* Provides guidance and makes recommendations to HR colleagues on all compensation issues; and interprets local, state, and federal laws regulating compensation practices
* Help to develop internal compensation communication, education, and process improvements
* Create policies and procedures for all compensation related practices focusing on continual improvement.
* Evaluates market trends and recommends revisions as necessary
* Maintains and audits HRIS systems to ensure accuracy of compensation data
* Generate and create reports and maintain accurate information relating to compensation on HRIS and specialized compensation software.
* Assists in other the annual compensation process to support compensation team across the organization as needed.
* May participate in other compensation related projects such as stock option administration, incentive plans or other projects.
* Develops analytics and metrics using best practices
* Remains current on industry trends and regulatory requirements
* Participates in special projects as needed
* Performs other related functions and responsibilities, as assigned
Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand St. Jude Medical’s marketplace success:
* Bachelor’s degree in human resource management), finance or a related field 3 years of compensation related experience
* Strong analytical skills and excel capability.
* Good skills in MS Office with expert Excel skills.
* Strong communication/influence skills including verbal, technical writing and presentations
* Project management expertise to include planning, analysis, model development and implementation
* Strong customer service orientation with success building relationships and influencing complex organizations
* Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
* Ability to make informed decisions based on data and statistics.
* Able to handle confidentiality regarding employee and company information.
* Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Your preferred qualifications and education:
* Masters in HR preferred
