We are seeking an experienced, high caliber senior Manager of Small & Diverse Business Sourcing. This position will ensure St Jude Medical (SJM) is in compliance with all government and commercial customer requirements regarding the engagement of small and diverse owned businesses

Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:
Defining small and diverse business sourcing strategies in support of compliance and regulatory requirements. Engaging and managing relationships with the U.S. Small Business Administration and other public or private sector groups.
Working knowledge of internal and external systems to define, collect and analyze data. Demonstrated ability to represent the organization at external events such as government-led trainings, networking events, customer-facing meetings
Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand St. Jude Medical’s marketplace success:
* 5 years progressively responsible experience defining small and diverse business sourcing strategies
* 5 years’ experience engaging and managing relationships with the U.S. Small Business Administration and other public or private sector entities
* 5 years’ experience in a highly regulated environment and proven familiarity with applicable regulations
* Certifications or education with government contracting and/or diverse business sourcing highly desired
* 5 years’ experience with internal and external systems to define, collect and analyze data
* Demonstrated ability to represent the organization at external events such as government-led trainings, networking events, customer-facing meetings
* Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
* Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results
* Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment
* Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
* Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
* Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
* Ability to travel approximately 25%, with the potential for more.
Your preferred qualifications and education:
* 5 years working in strategic souring role including negotiation and supplier performance management
* Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model
* Proven ability to combine requirements, ideas and concepts into a cohesive program model
* Proven to collect, analyze and interpret data and present executive recommendations
