We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Manager, Tax Transfer Pricing. Working without appreciable supervision, this position is primarily responsible for managing the identification and implementation of intercompany transfer price strategies and solutions for SJM and ensuring that SJM’s transfer price documentation conforms to the complex US and foreign country requirements.

Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:
* Provides leadership to team members by assigning goals which align to department annual plans and manages execution of the goals through caching and mentoring
* Management of intercompany transfer pricing process, including:
o Managing the setting and communicating transfer prices for all SJM products
o Managing the monitoring of profitability throughout the year and recommending transfer price adjustments as necessary
o Managing the responses to transfer price inquiries
* Manage the maintenance of worldwide intercompany transfer price documentation
o Stay current on worldwide transfer price documentation requirements
o Manage the preparation and review of transfer price documentation, including documentation prepared by external advisors
* Manage implementation of transfer price planning ideas and strategies
* Manage integration of new acquisitions
* Assist SJM finance group with legal entity income projections/forecasts and review certain intercompany entries
o Involvement with Operations in the planning of Product Introductions in the various manufacturing sites throughout SJM
* Assist in the management of certain aspects of US and foreign tax audits
o Prepare responses to IRS information document requests
o Assist with foreign transfer pricing audits
* Research various transfer price questions as required
* Monitor new legislation
* Perform or manage other projects as assigned
* Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
* Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned
Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand St. Jude Medical’s marketplace success:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
* 8 years of related tax experience.
* 2 years of transfer pricing experience.
* Excellent project management and process development skills.
* Strong analytical and issue identification skills.
* Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
* Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
* Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

* Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
* Ability to travel approximately 15%, including internationally.

Your preferred qualifications and education:
* CPA certification.
* MBT, MBA or JD.
* Public accounting experience.
* Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model.
