We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Sr. Systems Analyst – EDA/ECAD ( Electrical Computer Aided Design/Electronic Design Automation) to be directly involved in conducting analysis, creating technical/functional specs, configuration, testing, implementation and support of new and existing systems. This role will provide expertise that is critical in assisting with the identification of opportunities for the effective use of technology for business partners.

Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:
* The position involves no design work, capture or layout.
* Provide one on one and small group training and business assistance.
* Manage tier 2 and tier 3 support for ECAD/EDM software and data storage/management in Windchill and other legacy PLM systems.
* Maintain license framework.
* Maintain server software updates.
* Maintain client software updates.
* Manage additional capabilities and integrations with other applications.
* Interaction with product development applications.
* Work with various IT groups for packaging, deployment and support.
* Maintain documentation and communication with business partners and IT teams.
* Establishes technology standards for development and maintenance of new and existing systems, makes recommendations for improvement.
* Collaborates with internal customers to ensure user requirements are complete and concise, confirming that changes and enhancements meet technical specifications and user requirements.
* May interact with the business to elicit, analyze and document detailed business requirements.
* Performs business process analysis to define configuration requirements.
* Transforms business requirements into technical documentation including detailed design specifications to describe program development, logic coding and corrections.
* Performs a variety of tasks to review, analyze and modify business application systems including configuration, testing, debugging and implementation.
* Makes appropriate recommendations for continuing, modifying, or abandoning proposed projects based on the results of feasibility studies and/or cost/benefit analyses.
* Maps current processes to the desired state and identifies gaps such as program functions, output requirements, input requirements and sources, data conversion strategies, and system techniques and controls.
* Provides solid test designs, develops test cases and reviews/approves the execution of those test cases.
* Develops business process flows and data models for new system development or for process redesign.
* Provides support to existing applications and resolves business and technical problems.
* Keeps informed of trends and new developments in technology to better advise management of means to accomplish business and information systems goals.
* Communicates effectively with management to enhance their understanding of the opportunities and limitations of information systems.
* Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand St. Jude Medical’s marketplace success:
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
* 5 years of technical experience.
* 5 years of experience translating business requirements into technical designs.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills. Able to bridge communication between technical areas and business areas for a full and complete understanding of expectations.
* Ability to multi-task efficiently on parallel efforts.
* Ability to drive requirements and project work through to closure.
* Experience in formal design review.
* Experience in reviewing technical designs, and experience in code reviews - providing feedback on whether the technical design and code satisfies functional specifications.
* Training and experience in good test design; experience writing test cases and reviewing/approving the execution of those test cases.
* Ability to work in a highly matrix and geographically diverse business environment.
* Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
* Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.
* Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
* Extensive knowledge, understanding, and experience with ECAD/EDA Schematic capture and Layout tools.
* Mentorgraphics, Altium and Cadence tool experience required.
* ECAD/EDA parts library creation and management experience.
* Proven process knowledge and the ability to communicate with other designers and design managers.
* Assisting design groups in capturing and storing their design data in PTCs PLM product called Windchill and other data management solutions.
* This is accomplished by working closely with (walking an EE through specific software tool usage) business partners and in workshops and then developing, documenting, and testing standard configurations for use in the Production environment.
Your preferred qualifications and education:
* Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model.
* Batch file scripting and visual basic code understanding.
* Knowledge of other R&D applications.
